Warehouse Opportunity – Peak Trade Season Contract
GALXBOY is recruiting Seasonal Warehouse Operators to join its warehouse team in Johannesburg during the peak festive trading season. The successful candidates will support warehouse operations by ensuring products are inspected, packed, organised and delivered accurately and efficiently.
This fixed-term seasonal contract will run from 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026, providing an opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced retail warehouse environment.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric (Compulsory).
- Higher education will be advantageous.
- Experience in retail and/or warehouse environments will be preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations, including:
Product Inspection and Order Accuracy
- Inspecting merchandise to ensure items and quantities match customer orders.
- Checking products for missing, damaged or defective items.
- Performing quality checks before, during and after packing.
Warehouse Distribution and Retail Fulfilment
- Supporting the movement of inventory from the warehouse to retail stores.
- Ensuring products are packed correctly to prevent damage during transportation.
- Assisting with timely and accurate order fulfilment.
Shipping and Receiving
- Using scanning equipment to track and verify inventory.
- Receiving incoming shipments and checking merchandise accuracy.
- Supporting dispatch processes to ensure orders leave on time.
Warehouse Organisation and Inventory Management
- Loading, unloading, moving, stacking and arranging merchandise safely.
- Maintaining an organised warehouse environment.
- Maximising storage space through proper product placement.
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management activities.
Customer Satisfaction and Problem Solving
- Ensuring customers receive orders in good condition and on time.
- Identifying issues or mistakes and assisting with solutions.
- Working with colleagues and management to improve processes.
- Providing feedback where necessary.
Productivity and Compliance
- Following company productivity and quality standards.
- Meeting performance targets for picking, packing and shipping.
- Completing additional warehouse duties assigned by supervisors or management.
