The Department of Health is hiring 11 Cleaners Level 2 to maintain clean, hygienic and safe healthcare facilities within Sedibeng District Health Services. The role involves cleaning clinics and healthcare areas, managing waste, maintaining equipment and ensuring infection control standards are followed.

Requirements
- Ability to read and write
- No experience required
- Previous Sedibeng District EPWP and Interns (including ended EPWP contracts) will be considered
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards
Main Duties
- Sweep, mop and buff floors using cleaning machines
- Clean walls, windows, doors, bathrooms and public areas
- Dust, wash and polish furniture
- Clean corridors, offices, clinics, entrances, stairs and waiting areas
- Remove medical and general waste
- Clean bins and flatten cardboard boxes
- Follow healthcare waste management and infection control procedures
- Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment
- Maintain clean and hygienic healthcare environments
- Clean refrigerators and refill soap containers
- Maintain kitchen areas and monitor stock
- Keep cleaning trolleys clean and organised
- Complete daily cleaning activity records
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Attend training and meetings when required
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
