Requirements

  • Ability to read and write
  • No experience required
  • Previous Sedibeng District EPWP and Interns (including ended EPWP contracts) will be considered
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety standards

Main Duties

  • Sweep, mop and buff floors using cleaning machines
  • Clean walls, windows, doors, bathrooms and public areas
  • Dust, wash and polish furniture
  • Clean corridors, offices, clinics, entrances, stairs and waiting areas
  • Remove medical and general waste
  • Clean bins and flatten cardboard boxes
  • Follow healthcare waste management and infection control procedures
  • Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment
  • Maintain clean and hygienic healthcare environments
  • Clean refrigerators and refill soap containers
  • Maintain kitchen areas and monitor stock
  • Keep cleaning trolleys clean and organised
  • Complete daily cleaning activity records
  • Follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Attend training and meetings when required
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
