The programme leads to an Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver NQF Level 3 and combines classroom training, workplace experience and practical driving hours.

Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Grade 12 / National Certificate
- Valid Code EC driver’s licence with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- PrDP categories D, G and P
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Medically fit
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, transport economics or related fields will be advantageous
Main Duties
- Complete a structured 12–18 month learnership programme
- Attend classroom theory training
- Complete workplace practical training
- Complete a minimum of 100 practical driving hours
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently
- Apply road safety and energy efficiency standards
- Complete final competency assessments and the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA)
