Main Duties

  • Transport linen, staff, records and patients to required destinations
  • Collect soiled linen and deliver clean linen to wards
  • Inspect vehicles before use, including fuel, water, oil and tyres
  • Complete vehicle inspection forms and report defects
  • Report vehicle accidents and damages immediately
  • Maintain vehicle keys, spare wheel, jack and tools
  • Keep vehicles clean and in good condition
  • Complete vehicle logbooks as required
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are signed for
  • Report undelivered or outstanding linen collections
  • Provide professional assistance when dealing with enquiries
  • Follow Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Attend meetings and training when required

Important Information

The position requires candidates to follow a rotation roster and comply with hospital laundry procedures. The successful candidate may be required to transport patients to various hospitals and complete internal hospital trips.
