Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4
- Valid forklift licence
- Current forklift certificate or licence
- 1–5 years’ reach truck or equivalent forklift experience
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse activities, including:
Receiving
- Ensuring pallets are loaded safely and securely according to stock and pallet storage requirements.
- Loading and offloading vehicles in the yard.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards in the yard.
- Separating good and damaged pallets and ensuring safe storage.
- Reporting housekeeping issues promptly.
- Offloading incoming stock.
- Palletising, counting and labelling incoming stock.
- Wrapping pallets.
- Moving palletised stock from receiving bays to staging areas.
Inventory Management
- Performing accurate stock movements as instructed by scanners and warehouse systems.
- Completing bin-to-bin movements.
- Assisting with stock consolidation tasks.
- Conducting cycle counts and related inventory activities.
Picking and Packing
- Picking internal and external customer orders accurately.
- Decanting stock into original picking bins.
- Packing orders according to departmental targets and customer requirements.
Conveyor and Distribution Operations
- Operating and assisting with conveyor systems and machinery.
- Supporting departmental targets and customer service standards.
- Loading, offloading and scanning stock and customer orders.
Adhoc Warehouse Duties
The role may include:
- Building and breaking stock combinations.
- Labelling products.
- Rebooting equipment where required.
- Cleaning work areas.
- Fixing and maintaining pallets.
- Supporting general distribution centre activities.
Housekeeping and Equipment Care
- Maintaining a clean, neat and organised work area.
- Reporting faulty equipment and requesting replacements.
- Ensuring allocated equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Completing daily equipment check sheets before and after use.
- Submitting completed check sheets to the Supervisor.
Health and Safety
- Participating actively in workplace health and safety practices.
- Supporting health and safety requirements as a Section 8 appointee.
- Ensuring compliance with distribution centre safety procedures.
