The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs is recruiting 3 General Assistants at Graskop. The successful candidates will provide cleaning and general support services, maintain workplace cleanliness and assist with daily operations within the department.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10 or ABET Level 4
- Ability to read and write
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles
- Ability to deliver services under pressure
Previous working experience as a cleaner within the public service will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cleaning windows, floors, offices, boardrooms, consulting rooms and passages.
- Dusting and polishing office furniture.
- Cleaning toilets and other areas within office buildings.
- Emptying waste bins.
- Operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals correctly.
- Safekeeping and handling cleaning materials and equipment.
- Keeping cleaning equipment clean and safe.
- Reporting defects or damaged equipment.
- Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
