The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for 3 Cleaner Level 2 positions at Heidelberg Hospital. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe hospital environment, including wards, offices, corridors, boardrooms, kitchens and restrooms.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 9, ABET (Adult Education and Training) or NQF Level 1
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work shifts
- Knowledge of operating various cleaning machines will be required for the duties of the position
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will provide comprehensive cleaning services throughout the hospital. Duties include cleaning wards, offices, corridors and boardrooms, as well as dusting and waxing furniture, sweeping, scrubbing and waxing floors, vacuuming and shampooing floors, and cleaning walls, windows and doors.
The role also includes emptying and cleaning dustbins, collecting and removing waste paper, cleaning kitchens and basins, preparing refreshments for meetings and arranging water bottles. Cleaners will also be responsible for cleaning and refreshing restrooms, refilling hand-wash liquid soap, replacing toilet paper and replenishing hand paper towels.
Employees must maintain cleaning materials and equipment, report broken machines or equipment, and ensure cleaning trolleys are properly filled and refilled. Successful applicants must adhere to Ideal Hospital Guidelines, work compulsory shifts and perform other lawful duties assigned by the supervisor that are related to the job description.
