Job Overview
Hollywoodbets is looking for a VIP Security Officer to join their team in Soweto, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the branch, protecting staff, customers and company property.
The role requires a security professional who is alert, disciplined and able to provide excellent customer service while managing security procedures such as access control, patrols, searches and emergency response.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid manual Driver’s Licence
- Grade C Security Certificate
- Registered with PSIRA
- Previous security experience
- 1–3 years’ people management experience will be advantageous
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Conduct security checks before opening and closing of the branch
- Perform perimeter patrols and check for suspicious activity
- Monitor the branch environment and ensure safety standards are followed
- Control access to the premises and ensure only authorised persons enter
- Conduct searches of customers, employees and visitors according to procedures
- Monitor entrances, exits and parking areas
- Operate security equipment including scanners, panic buttons and radios
- Report security incidents and complete required reports
- Assist during emergencies and contact relevant authorities when required
Customer Service
- Welcome customers professionally and provide assistance when needed
- Create a positive first impression of the company
- Handle customer concerns in a respectful manner
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while performing security duties
Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure security procedures and company policies are followed
- Ensure no prohibited items enter the premises
- Maintain security registers and documentation
- Remain in assigned areas while on duty
- Wear the required security uniform and identification
- Follow workplace rules and professional conduct standards
